Transportation
A total of 400 project T-shirts were produced. Two hundred of these were transported to the Netherlands, while the remaining 200 were distributed in India. Raddis Cotton took care of the distribution of the project T-shirt among various partners in India. In India, the T-shirts were given to farmers and other workers in the garment industry who contributed to their making. Additionally, a substantial number of T-shirts were distributed among students at the Erode College of Arts and Sciences, and to workers at READ, an NGO that supportsĀ garment workers.
Raddis Cotton enlisted Cargo International, Chennai, India, to handle the shipment of T-shirts to the Netherlands. For this shipment, Cargo International chose air freight. While air freight is less environmentally sustainable than shipping by sea, it significantly reduced the delivery time. The T-shirts were securely packed to ensure smooth transportation, and all necessary documentation for customs clearance was prepared, including the packing list and tax invoice. This careful preparation ensured a smooth logistics process, allowing Raddis to deliver the T-shirts on time.
